Really good! Does what it says. Just hope it stays this way :) A small suggestion: could you add some backgrounds or maybe enable an option where we can use our own wallpapers/backgrounds? Also could you please enable the option of moving the app to the SD card? It's getting heavy on the device. Thx :)
Backup data through dropbox, password protected with a PIN number (easier to type than an actual password). The entries can be color coded by putting them in category folders that are customizable. You can also tag entries. And you can search for a word or phrase in all your entries. And there's a calendar view as well if you want to look through your entries that way. You can add pictures to entries and crop and rotate the pictures in the app. The app looks great and works great.
Overall, this is an excellent app. My only serious concern is that it takes A LOT of phone storage once you start to use it consistently and are adding photos. This wouldn't be a problem except that there is no option to export to an SD card. It's currently taking up 400MB of very valuable storage space on my phone. That's a problem.
I like the app. But guys, pls understand! At times one may lose all the data and might need to restore. Its a basic need! All the data, the diary entries, pics, etc collected over an year suddenly lost and can't be brought back. How does it feel? So pls don't put this in your pro version. This is evil. PS: this has happened twice. :|
**2018 Update: A few needed features 1) Export Diario backup file to home computer (incase I don't want to keep it in the cloud). 2) Update journal location based on attached photos. It can auto update the date of the post based on a photo, but not the location, which should go hand in hand. Other than that, this app is a bargain for what you get with the premium version; online app, multi platform, export to PDF, one time payment, Cleanest GUI out there, etc. I am still trying new Journaling apps, and this is still my go to. **Original Review: I was an iOS user forever. I had been using Day One to journal until switching to Android. Then I found out there really aren't any comparable journaling apps on this platform. There are several on iOS. This is absolutely the best journaling app on the Android platform (I tried every one I could find in the app store). It is almost as good as Day One. It is getting better with every update, and they listen to their customers.
I love this app, I have been using it for several weeks now. It has been the highlight of my day to stop and release myself on the page, a master tool for anyone in the fine art of molding the mind. I have a few nitpicks I would love to see implemented. First, I would love it if there was some way to add sub-headers, to organize it more precisely. Also, some more editing and writing options, for instance italics, bold lettering, and perhaps some font options, again for better organization. With a few more options I would gladly give it four stars! Outside of those things I love it and will continue to use it for the perceivable future.
