SPOILER: I had to bump this up to 3 stars. I finally decided to use my passion to accept the lifelong office job. I found out that it's a win condition. Never tried it before because I assumed it was a trap (and in a way it is, since it cuts the game so short). However, that significantly improved my view of the game's difficulty, since it's no longer in that "artificial" category. I see the simulated realism they were going for.

I've played about 25 hours of Cult Sim on the PC and plan on putting several times that on mobile. This game is like a puzzlebox, and finding the intricacies of how it's mechanics work and interact, how to progress, how to grow yourself as the leader and seeker of knowledge you are- all of it is excellent, and makes the experience of netting that first, that first awakening, one of the most satisfying payoffs to a learning curve I've ever played. Only use a wiki if you absolutely need to!

I've bought CS on every device I own at this point (and I'll probably keep doing so), but honestly I kinda like this one the best. CS is already a game that's great to pick up for a few minutes inbetween things, or for two hours at a stretch, and so being on the phone makes it always available for that. * The classic "cards on table" self-managed UI works well on the touchscreen * Tends to evict itself if you switch apps, so turn autosave frequency up * Cheevos for tracking your progress!
