This is a fine app with some very interesting takes on training. When the app for Android was new, it was VERY battery hungry. This fault seems to have been corrected since then. The only big problem I have with it now is that there is no way (in Android, anyhow) to rotate the board. I understand the importance of being able to see your opponent's resources from your own side of the board, but this still seems a very considerable flaw.

Great app, lessons are designed into bite-sized pieces in a progressive curriculum (i.e., Lesson 1, Lesson 2, etc.) Unfortunately the drills are buggy, and much of the new content added over the years (lessons on tactics, strategy, calculation, etc) is missing from the curriculum and completely disorganized. Would love to see this content incorporated into the curriculum. Should be an easy fix for the developers... though looks like the app hasnt been updated in years...

This app has a lot of potential. I love that you begin by assessing your strength so you can skip basics and fundamentals if you already know them. However, the app falls far short of being worth downloading because 95%+ of the lessons are not available without paying for a membership. I was surprised at how few lessons I could actually complete. The two (yes, TWO) lessons I could complete were great, but the rest are locked. Uninstalled.
