It's an ok app.. But it needs a lot of work.. Half the features don't work.. And it has a long pause when you press play if you were paused...and it doesn't pause immediately when you press pause... So plz fix it... It's annoying.. There are tons of really good apps out there.. This one is mediocre at best... 😡
I've only been using it for about a week so far but I love it. I listen to the audio books all day at work, I've made it through six whole books now with no problems. I don't really understand everyone's complaints about the lack of selection, as many of my favorite authors are available and hours upon hours of new content is waiting to be discovered. There are some bugs with both the app and the website, including the occasional extreme delay when hitting the pause button, but all in all with so much content so easily accessible I'm really loving it.
Very limited in all areas. Playster has far less to offer than any other similar service. It costs the same as Audible, but offers virtually none of the books that the latter does. It claims to offer 100,000+ but what they don't tell you is that 99% of those are not well known or popular series, or even mildly successful ones. It's all B-rated swill that only hipsters will like - "ironically," of course. It's a good price, compared to other services. But when you consider what you actually get for that money, it feels like a rip-off.
I've been using this app for the audiobooks and so far it's great! No major issues. By that I mean that the one time my playster didn't want to read a book but I realized that it was probably my fault for not restarting my phone for over a month So... a reboot of my phone once a week and I never had any issues since then with playster or any other apps either actually. To me the selection is great. Did not have issues finding any of the books I was looking for. I'm on my 4th book so far and I love it! 10$/month for as many book as you want... To me... It's worth it!
I've only had this app one day. But so far I'm not impressed. Im currently listening to an audiobook and I like to listen at 2 x the speed but every chapter it goes back to normal. And then it takes me several minutes to get it to change back. (it still say I'm at 2× when I'm not). I end up having to kill the app completely to get it to work again. Very very annoying. Most likely will not be using it much longer.
Bought it for the audiobooks (the offer or movies and music is a bonus) i am an amazon/audible customer and saw this as a possible alternative. Im so glad i have not deleted either account because this app has nothing that interests me. I don't even recognize half the material. Do not waste your time or money on this app.
