Still not as good as Kodi/xbmc. It has some nice feature (when they work) but overall the experience hasn't been great. The player just isn't as smooth or as flexible as the Kodi one. Simple things like advancing through a video quickly don't work well, it seems to hang a lot randomly across different platforms, it still has simple UI bugs, and the navigation could still use some work. I don't hate it but I was really hoping to love it after buying lifetime.
Really cool app, very desirable product that I'm willing to play for, and it works most of the time. But I have lots of problems with it, like videos skipping without sound, or stuck on one frame with no sound, mislabeled episodes. I can usually get it to work by fiddling with settings or restarting the app, but it's just not as smooth of an experience as Netflix with these bugs.
It seems to have broken over the past update. It now says I can't play from the phone meaning the app is essentially useless. Keeps telling me to restart the media server and app. There have been no changes to either phone or media server and other computers and apps work just fine
Huge waste of money. I regret buying a lifetime Plex pass. Sync is often a disaster, and you have to babysit it closely. Any content I have synced to my tablet and then watch, does not update it's watched status when reconnecting to the server. If I watch 5 episodes of a series, I'm lucky to have the server update any one of them as watched. If I have to remember what I've watched, and manually update my offline viewable content, what's the point? Sync will also randomly change from external to internal storage, causing the synced files to get lost.
Decent. Auto sign in never works - it's a real PITA inputting login information every time you open the application. Would be nice if it featured an equalizer for audio playback. For local network usage I've found MediaMonkey to perform better.
Plex server itself is very good. Beat Emby hands down. Use it for organizing and streaming, as well as tv capture. Web client just works. But Android app is a big disappointment. Player crashes often, sync is so unreliable I can assume it didn't work most of the time.
