Love this all and was really excited to see android auto support until.... no video :( I appreciate video in motion is not a good idea but the ability to watch when stopped is the same as any other car video/ DVD system. I spend many a lunch hour watching plex in the car (static) and having it built in would be way better.
Used to be great but Plex has dropped the ball over and over for more than a year. Bugs aren't getting squashed, support is non-existent so if something is wrong there is no way to fix it. Forums, you say? Good luck getting a response from someone who can help. I've switched to Emby. Far better, less bugs, responsive forums, etc etc...
About 10 seconds after I open the app and start browsing a library, it takes me back to the home screen and none of the libraries are shown. I then have to force close the app and relaunch it. It always works perfectly the 2nd time. Come on guys this has been a bug for years!
The best cord cutting app, period. Pay for a Plex Pass. This service is so useful and well done, it's worth the price.
Not only is the app hard to use now but movies are out of sync and quiet! Roll back the update!
In order to actually play back video on the device (one of the *core functions* of Plex) you have to *pay to "unlock" the app*. Considering that *literally any other device that can use plex* can play back video unrestricted without needing to "unlock" the player, this is utter horseshit.
