Works great!! Always use on my lunch break at work to connect to my server at home. Only playing issues have been due to ISP, as long as my connection is good streaming has never had a hick-up. Have used for over 4 months now.
Good Takes a bloody long time to start up. Would be good if the home screen cached. Would be nice if the Chromecast button wasn't there when there are no device to remote play on
Plex player disconnects While watching a movie I will periodically get a message that the pms has lost connection and the movie is interrupted. A message comes up to resume and I can resume playback without losing where the video stopped. Using a Samsung android 12.2 note pro via connectify on my laptop. Working overseas and the ISP is via WiFi and only able to connect 1 device at a time so I can't use a regular router hence using Connectify. This also occurs without being logged on to the wifi. Just updated PMS but it was doing this before the update. But i didn't reboot the laptop after update and will try that. No new updates for Plex on android. Lots of variables. Searching Web for answers, none so far. Thanks.
Good with minor issues Works well overall but has a few issues that seem to change with each version. With the current version, you have to navigate to your local device for synced content to resume properly. Aside from that impressive, powerful app.
Most Complete Media Solution I use Serviio for Audio books. Plex for videos and Emby for browsing through my media. Each of those is supposed to do it all. Plex has the least problems and the best performance. Emby has some nice new features too. Moral: no solution is perfect but Plex is close.
Great app all the way around Works great. I paid the life time payment for server. I took a old 2 core laptop with ssd drive and put this on it. Connected to a 4 tb USB 3.0 drive we have all our movies and TV shows ripped to it. So we have roku in all rooms and the app on all our android devices. Can watch any movie on the fly and pause and play back somewhere else. Awesome app that makes your videos at your fingers with out having a loaded SD card. This saves your blueray play and disks from scratching too.
