About this app

The Plume Home app brings together Wi-Fi intelligence, security, and easy management of your network and household to enhance your connectivity experience. Unlike other mesh Wi-Fi systems, Plume automatically fine-tunes your network for peak performance—blocking interference, allocating bandwidth appropriately to all your connected devices, and prioritising speed for live apps such as video conferencing and streaming. Everything is managed through a single mobile app.

- Simple setup
In just a few minutes, you’ll be able to add all your connected devices and ensure extenders are properly placed around the home for optimal coverage.

- Profiles and groups
Create user profiles for each household member to assign devices to them, or even group devices together such as ‘light bulbs’ or ‘living room’ for easier management. Use profiles and device groups to set security policies, schedule Focus time, apply internet Timeouts, and optimise bandwidth with Traffic Boosts—giving you greater control over online time and network performance.

- Traffic Boost
Prioritise your network the way you want. Ensure specific applications, profiles, devices, or entire app categories are first in line for bandwidth. Be confident your video meeting, live TV stream, or gaming session has what it needs. Prefer Plume to take charge? The default Automatic Mode will prioritise live traffic that requires it.

- Home security
Protect your devices from cyber threats like malware and phishing. No one at home? Prioritise the network for security devices and applications such as smart locks and cameras, and receive instant alerts for any unusual activity. Use Motion to detect movement when the home should be empty.

- Parental controls
Set predefined access profiles for children, teenagers, or adults to automatically filter restricted content. Schedule Focus time to pause connectivity for specific profiles, devices, app categories, or the entire network. Need a quick break? Instantly restrict internet access from the home dashboard with a Timeout. Curious about bandwidth usage? View detailed graphs for all profiles and devices down to individual apps.

Ratings and reviews

This app has really gone downhill. It used to be great a few years ago, but recent updates have ruined it. They changed the layout and removed helpful settings for no reason. On top of that, the manual speed test fails every single time I try to use it.

Keeps logging me out . Can't use the app on two houses have to use two phones for two houses home internet. update. it can be used for multiple homes/routers. but there are privacy violatios in app. it is invasive and sees all unencrypted traffic. why? it seems we must use Chinese routers to get some privacy!

Another update. Not so happy with the app redesign and update - doesn't feel as easy to use, with some functions moved onto sub menus etc. I'm sure i'll get used to it. My big issue at the moment is the inability to easily unblock sites as easily as before. I've followed the help pages (with pictures), but I don't get the on screen pop up to allow me to approve sites the help pages say I should get. This means the only way to unblock is to manually type in web addresses! Frustrating!
