Saved me a few times Been using this app for quote a few years originally with Tom Tom then apple devices and more recently with Android and it has saved me a few times. People say it is expensive but what £20 subscription against a fixed penalty fine? It is updated most weeks and allow you to add location not listed. Great App,
Reset account complete. Thanks for resetting the account. As I said in my last review. If I ever have any issues with this app I just need to send a quick email to the team at pocket GPS world and they always reply within 24 hrs and sometimes sooner.. I would highly recommended this app for any one who would like a comprehensive speed camera database.. And to be sure of total cover on the roads..
Worth the money This is to me a very reliable app. with a weekly database update available and which only takes minutes to implement. A previous comment about the loud warning voice that advises when the database is behind current version must in fact be a good thing, as the weekly update can be forgotten and so PGPSW have conveniently included the reminder for the user's benefit. This app. gives far more confirmed camera sites than other offerings I have come across.
Used on Galaxy S5 with KitKat Great app and works behind Tomtom OK. Used it for years. Using auto startup on Tomtom works but when exiting TT, CamerAlert seems to restart TT again presumably cos it is still working in the background. Perhaps an auto shutdown feature could work, if Google allow? Would like to see an extra screen key for easy access (usually 3 dots key) to MENU ever since Samsung changed the MENU key to TASK MANAGER. You now have to press and hold MENU key until CamerAlert menu comes up. Picky I know!!
Good, but... I don't like the update reminder, which tells you in a loud voice that the database needs updating, and this can't be switched off. REALLY irritating and really unnecessary. Put an option in the settings to disable audible warnings. Developers may be clever, but they're not very bright.
Nice app, but doesn't work with Lollipop Great app, but whilst worked perfectly on iOS and KitKat, it won't work on Android 5 (Lollipop) because the updated operating system no longer has a built in soft button to bring up in-app menus and Cameralert has not yet been updated to include the standard three dot in-app menu button. This needs to be fixed urgently because Cameralert can no longer be run on new android phones.
Ensure Google logo is present and visible on the map tiles.
