Like pokemon but not. The controls are a little janky when it comes to overworld exploration and the story isn't bad. The monster designs are interesting and original. While Gotcha elements are there and heavily encouraged, you don't need to spend money if you don't want to. I'd give it a 3.8/5 overall. It's a fun way to waste some time.

mixed feelings. solid gameplay. mythic monsters shouldn't require 3 duplicates to awaken I think that this is the biggest problem with the game. I thought the game was great up to that point and then I figured it's a really bad system. probably won't even try to play PVP because it's pay to win since that's their evolution method vs using ingredients like the rest of the monsters, also it greatly takes away from the games playability since you can't ever use any of those monsters.

So much fun for the first 1-2 weeks. The first part of the campaign and side missions are really fun. Once you get to the point to Ultra-Evolve your strong monsters, they're blocked behind paywalls. Once you get to part 2 of everything, you're not strong enough, so you have to pay A LOT ($1000+) to potentially succeed. You basically need the best monsters in the game to unlock the ingredients to evolve your basic monsters, which at that point is pointless to spend the extra time doing that.
