Just got he update ..i love it. you guys are the best you listened to all my nagging suggestions and everything. Thank you. Only thing left is change the back button on now playing screen to a close button and list view options in subscribed list. You still get 5 stars
I just installed the app and fro. What I can discern it lacks the ability to automatically download a predetermined number of installments of a podcast to which you have subscribed. You must manually select each installment for it to be placed in the que. This is a major flaw in the coding and should rise to TOMA for correction in preparing the next iteration for distribution. As is, this will not survive 24 hours of installment despite an elegantly efficient GUI. The ad placement should also be moved to the lower part of the screen and not take priority position over desired, and ultimately intended, content of the podcasts, at least in my humble opinion.
Tried it. All I was able to do was watch error error after error. Junk. This app came up as an ad while searching for Jim Rome show. Even that's not there. Just bits and pieces.
Very useful. Few things could be better but I never experienced that my suggestions did any difference, so I just use what I get. And it's really OK.
Please for the love of god allow me to disable the thing that keeps popping up telling me to use your lockscreen. I don't want to use the lockscreen, and I don't want the notification constantly reminding me of it.
CastBox was working fine for me until a work ago, and I was considering paying to remove the awful ads. Last week I updated my phone to Nougat and everything fell apart. The app stopped tracking my progress in a podcast episode. If I start at 10:00 and listen for 5 minutes, the next play will begin at 10:00 again, not 15:00. Also, I can't manually skip to a different time without reopening the app. The bar moves but the playback stays at the current time. I restarted and reinstalled the app but the bug persists. I backed up my episodes, but CastBox doesn't recognize the mp3s after manually dragging them back to the correct folder. In addition to all this, while making the backups I found that there were dozens of mp3s from "deleted" episodes as well as duplicate mp3s taking up storage space. This will be a decent podcast player for you until it won't. I'll be moving to an alternative.
