I would rate this a 5 if it added support for Bandcamp and a search function for my personal media collection. Otherwise it's a fine system with a well supported app. Often systems like these drop their app support and you're left with good hardware and obsolete software. Polk stays on top of it and the app evolves with the times.
Can only play music that DTS allows. Can't use iTunes, can't use media players, you have to pay a subscription. So all your favorite players you have on your phone are useless. What a crock. After shelling out the cash for the speakers, you're locked down. I wish I could return the speaker S6.
Stream using the "most popular" streaming services... yet no Google Play, Apple Music, or Soundcloud connectivity. Hoping these will come in the future.
This review is written in conjunction with the Omni SB1+/Plus Soundbar and subwoofer system. (With MCU at 207.168) The Polk Omni app works well in my experience, as long as the wifi infrastructure (i.e. wifi router, signal strength / stability) is solid. I personally have had no streaming issue over wifi (from Android phone to the SB1+ over wifi), whether it's local music files from the phone, or from Spotify. No audio drop out over multiple hours of audio playback. Suggestion / Feature Reqest: I would like to have the ability to change the order of the Music Services icons.
Couldn't get the app to work correctly with SB1 speaker.
