It suddenly wanted to go through setup again after it had been working. After app update maybe? Now it can't locate my Portal any longer. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no different. Useless.

Terrible app, always fails to connect and once connected there is very little control. It is basically useless and there is no functionality. When will they get something as simple as parental controls??

So frustrating. The initial set up was fine, but now, as others have said, the app doesn't find devices. It makes something that could be great incredibly frustrating. Having to go through the reset process is nightmare and basically voids the better internet speeds.. Oh. and you have to run things through the app. lame

App can't find portals. Good thing I had the network running. I have two setup in mesh but my app can't find them anymore. To be clear, WiFi works fine... Just the app won't connect. Frustrating!

Had some early teething issues, but has largely delivered on the promise of increased coverage, easy mesh networking, and increased speeds. Looking forward to better management of connected devices bandwidth usage/etc and other enhancements.

The Portal held up to its bidding. The app couldnt have made the setup any easier. For all people searching for a superior Router for their home network search no more. I have a 2-3000 sq ft 2 story home and after installation I was blown away with its coverage. Fastlane technology separates Portal from the rest .

Missing Basic Features It's hard to complain to much because I don't often think about my router but this app is pretty bare bones. Is this a proxy review of the router? I guess the app will improve as they update the router's firmware?

Broken Regret backing this. Lacks even the basic features. App fails to connect after setting up mesh leaving you with no control over your network. No where near ready for release

The router is great, I'm getting in excess of 100Mbps. But the app stinks. The initial setup worked fine. And even adding a second router as a mesh. Now the app will not connect to either router. I have followed all the help and FAQ suggestions and nothing works.

The Portal itself is great. This app, on the other hand, isn't worth installing. The Portal does not pair with my phone, although the phone can see the Portal. And the ability to pair via blue tooth is one of the touted features. Instead of forcing use of blue tooth, should also be able to access management console via Wi-Fi. I have contacted Portal support, sent numerous emails and logs to no avail.

Excellent Device I had the top of the line D-Link router AC3200 TRI-BAND gigabit in my home 1000 square foot bungalow my Daughters room is the furthest from the router max download speed was 10 MB per second. The Portal router clocks in consistently at 30 MB per second router is in the same location as the old one . Very happy with this purchase!

Unable to locate my router The initial setup was simple. But the app can no longer connect or locate my router. Not sure if it's an issue with the router configuration, or because I reinstalled the app after resetting my phone. The app also crashes after clicking the Help links when the app fails to locate.

Simple setup Simple setup. I was expecting application will auto-connect Portal after my setup done. It was still on my Apple router, I have to go to WiFi settings and manual connect, but no big deal

Unable to reconnect to router via this app after initial setup. Also, this app forcecloses which I click on any of the help options "Chat with us" after the app fails to connect.
