This was the best router I used. Had two of them using the mesh network. Started having some issues and tried to use the app to fix it. The app has completely changed and won't connect to the routers anymore. It keeps saying the router is offline when the light is green and I can connect to the internet with the router. When you go to the portal website all the help links are dead. Any attempt to contact the company results in a dead end. If you happen to find a portal router, just ignore it.

I did not have trouble setting up the router or the app. The only problem I have is thst the phone app will not show me the devices that are connected to the router for the guest or the normal networks. Other than that, it works fine. I like that the router is not able to have the configuration changed unless the Bluetooth app allows it. Working with support via email to fix the app so my connected devices are listed but it's not a big deal since I can see them in the web gui on my PC.

I was able to set up my Portal router with zero problems, not sure why this app is review bombed so much. When you first plug the router in you must wait until it's finished updating with the latest firmware. If you need to access fancier options like port forwarding, these things can be done in typical fashion from the website using your IP adress. Great app and router, everything is super snappy.
