They charge different people different delivery prices even though they are at the same location. I've contacted support twice due to errors with my order and had to demand a manager both times. After they refused to do something about their poor service, I went to the restaurant that I ordered from and they completely remade everything for free.
Delivery fees keep going up, and the button to report issues with an order has mysteriously stopped working on top of them now holding an extra twenty percent over order value for reasons unexplained. Sketchy business practices and even sketchier fleet drivers, save your money and spend it on something else. Long time and frequent customer uninstalling for good.
Beware of Postmates. Their service fees are more than twice as high as their competitors (GrubHub & Door Dash in particular.) They try to hide it by combining fees and taxes. They also keep putting insanely large holds on our cards for the amount of food we are ordering. Like $160 for a $35-40 order. They also occasionally "surprise" you with huge additional fees ...apparently based on surge pricing, but it doesn't warn you upfront and you can't cancel your order. Also have had several restaurants call and cancel orders put in thru them. After doing a comparison on the costs with other services we use, I'm taking them off my phone. The drivers have all been great, but since that is pretty universal it's not a reason to keep them.
hidden fees and ridiculous delivery charges. they literally charge a small cart fee for spending less than $12, delivery, tax, AND a service fee. Horrible. Uber eats it is. which sucks because postmates has the better restaurant selection
Horrible experience. My order was cancelled and trying to contact support is awful. Had high expectations but theres dozens of options that are much better.
Well let's see first off I think my order has been right maybe 1/4 times. Also if you like being randomly charged money and them not giving back your money for five business days. I had a total of 21 dollars in food and was charged 52 dollars. The customer service is very slow and barely attempt to help. Strongly recommend uber eats, I switched and haven't had a problem since
Twice now I've submitted an order, been told that it's been accepted, and watched the entire process, food prep, waiting to be picked up, up to the last, and had the order randomly cancelled. Both times nearly an hour had elapsed. Monumental waste of time. If it wasn't going to be delivered, I would like to know immediately, so i can make other arrangements.
