All articles from the first to the last page are uniquely written for the Mälar Islands. Since 1949, MN has monitored what is happening and reflected those who live in the municipality. The newspaper was then started by Svenska dagbladet and since 1995 is published by Mälarö Media AB. The newspaper is politically independent.
