10/27/2017 Still says invalid password/username Openvpn app still works with same password/username 10/12/2017 No change, no app updates. Been using Openvpn app, works fine with exact same credentials. Old review: With the last update it won't acknowledge my Username... Worked fine (4 or 5 stars) until then. Computer version works fine. Have a request in to support, I'll raise my stars if they get it fixed.
A few months ago I signed up for this VPN mobile service for my android. The app worked great a few times. And the VPN will not connect to my android I have to constantly reboot and trouble shoot. And when the VPN did connect the mobile connection became so slow and a huge waste of my time. Hopefully the slow connection has been taken care of. I will give them one more try since this VPN is highly recommend for internet safety.
This was my goto VPN for years. Now it suffers from constant disconnects. And the speeds are slower than they used to be. Perhaps too many users now? I don't know. But I've had to switch to a different provider for reliable daily use. I hope PIA can work out these bugs in the long run. It was a great service.
Doesnt seem to fully working with the main Chrome OS. Chrome still list my Ipv6 address when I have the app on and the chrome addon is turn off. When I turn on the addon from the chrome browser it then fully masks the IP address. So the Android app of PIA on ChromeOS is still not supported fully. The Extension is still needed for chromebooks either way.
Usually easy, but when you have automatically connect on boot enabled and have no network connection the app jumps to the foreground and has your credentials in an editable text box. I have accidentally erased my password many times and is extremely frustrating. Now when I power on I don't touch it for 5 mins after startup to work around the issue. Lots of easy to implement fixes for this one. Please and thank you. Big fan otherwise
I've been using PIA for a few years now and is the best $34 i spend once a year. I also use a Google phones (Nexus 6 and Pixel XL) so i have Googles VPN when it kicks in but most of the time i have PIA taking care of my needs. The no logging is what attracted me to PIA. Very few and i mean very few VPN's have this. The other thing is you can use PIA on your PC , laptop, and all your tablets and phones for the low price of $34/year.
Fixes an application crash when the VPN is disconnected if API responses are artificially changed to exhaust system resources.
