Worth every penny. $35 per year. PIA may not have the fanciest user interface but their service is banging. Very fast multi gigabit servers world wide and TORRENT friendly!! PIA has apps for every OS out there. You can secure every device you own with one account and for one price. You can try PIA on a monthly subscription for only $8. After extensively testing four different, top 10 VPN's, I've found PIA to have the best service for the price.
Very Disappointed I purchased 1 yr only a few days ago as I'm not at home. Connected for like 5 minutes at a time, but 5-10 minutes to connect again. A tech guy for 40 yrs suggested it. So disappointed will have to tell him how spotty it is & How can he recommend it!
Works fine The app seems to work fine for me, have tried it on Samsung Galaxy s6 and s7, as long as the WiFi connection is strong. The "kill switch" has its quirks, you can't run it on more than one device at a time or your VPN connection might get dropped. Sometimes also if you have kill switch with an ethernet connection e.g a desktop computer and a WiFi device running at the same time you might get dropped. All in all it is a good app, and they don't keep logs.
Great app. The latest update is still not working correctly. Speed is too slow, app crashes after phone sleeps or changes from wifi to phone data. Ping times don't show. Now ruined, slow and unreliable, but PIA ignore customers who keep reporting the same problems. We can't ALL be wrong. Customer Service is terrible.
Unreliable This app has always been flaky but it's got worse recently. Now it will randomly stop and shut itself down turning off the VPN in the process. The kill switch does nothing. At other times, the Internet kill switch will engage and not reconnect leaving the phone disconnected from the net. The latter is preferred to the former, but it isn't a great state of affairs no matter what happens. I've exempted the app from automatic battery optimisation so I know it isn't the phone that is shutting the app down.
An odd bug? Was working fine until I switched to a Nexus 5X (Nougat). Then an error popped up and I couldn't connect, saying "PIA's VPN permission has been revoked. Security and kill switch are not active". I tried connecting a couple of times but would be automatically disconnected with the same error message. The only way I solved it was by entering VPN settings and enabling the "Always-on VPN" option. Now I can only connect by toggling this option, which is a little annoying.
