If you want me to pay $20 for a one-time customization at least be up front about it. The app seemed to work well, up until they charge you $20 to change any settings. If you were more up front about it I wouldn't care. But you do an in-app charge instead of having a separate pro version app listed on Google Play. 1-star. Just called the dealer and they said they would remove reverse-beep for free.
Didn't work for my car. Not upfront about what cars are and aren't supported. (Golf mk7 is not yet) There needs to be a link to a list of supported cars up front; top of the description. And rates should be visible without installing the app.
The Pro version of this app is exactly what I needed to disable the audible "beep" that happened every time I locked the doors on my VW GTI. Not being able to lock my car without announcing it to my neighbors was driving me crazy. I downloaded the app, borrowed a generic Bluetooth OBD2 scanner from a coworker, and now all is right with the world! I liked the amount of polish in the app and that the free version lets you see what customizations are available for your vehicle before you buy the Pro version.
Customizations not working The diagnostics part works OK, but even if I paid for it, the customizations part don't even start - after scanning, it complains that the doors are locked even if they are not (Seat Toledo 1.2 TSI 90CP Reference, model '2016')
For the kind of money the dongel cost & the cost of the Pro Version of the software, you can't even get real time data? You could not let us have real time graphics, data, charts and the rest? It is all there but we can't see it. Can you at least allow the data to be ported to someone else's software? Ordering a large slice of humble pie please.... I stand firmly corrected about this product. The nice people from Carista wrote to me, very much to my surprise I might add. you can read what they wrote back to me. I was so surprised that they took the time I decided to take another look at the app and the product. I have both Android and Apple phones, 3 different cars and somewhere in all of that I kind of lost track as to what I put where. The Android app connected up much easier but most of the time I was using it with another ODD reader. So after reading their kind response to my observations I went back to the Carista OBD and App on my Android phone. WOW! I could not believe my eyes when I started using the OBD with some of the software they said was compatible. SO, I MUST change my 1 star to a 5 STAR and if I could pick more stars I would. Thank you Carista
Carista Doesn't work on my 2.0tsi engine. Just keeps searching for bluetooth. The dongle I have works fine with torque pro app
