App sends too many notifications. It's a nice thought to have a community of bike owners that looks out for eachother but realistically I can't look at each one. Bike theft is a time bound problem. People in the area where the bike was stolen need to know ASAP if they are to offer any support. The app already tells me the area the bike was stolen from. Why not make it more specific. If a bike is stolen and I am currently within a specific radius close to that location send me a notification that says "BIKE STOLEN IN YOUR AREA" which may prompt me to look further. The make, model, etc. of that bike means nothing if it was stolen on the opposite side of town. To clarify, use the location of the bike theft, in conjunction with my GPS data, to analyze if I am within say 1km radius (or whatever you determine) to decide if it's worthwhile to tell me if a bike was stolen near me. Or even say "A BIKE HAS BEEN STOLEN WITHIN 950M OF YOUR CURRENT LOCATION" up to an outside radius limit that makes sense. Now I just get "bike stolen" notifications all day and sorry to say I have turned it off, despite my fear of some karmic retribution.
Only showing 1 bike. I registered 3 online.
Great idea, poor implementation. You get to see an alert ONCE ONLY, if you missed it the search doesn't show recently reported bikes!?! They are only accessible when the notification happens or not until days later. Also should include other questions like 'lock type / brand', 'how long bike was at location' that would help assess risky behavior to improve rider awareness.
Some bugs and sometimes crashes, but it is still in Beta. I update my bikes via website. Looking forward to the full fledged app
Awesome idea, terrible app. Searching is painful and often fails to show results. Please fix as I love the idea!
The app no longer shows the pictures I uploaded. It says "Photos (7)" but the are no pics. They have disappeared.
Bug fix with photos not showing up.
