Working well on Oneplus One!! Thanks to the developers. After trying many similar apps, finally this one worked on my Oneplus One phone. The only con is that it shows negative figures while charging and vice versa during discharge ..hence one star less on my rating. Ignoring that, the app is great for testing the live charging rates of any android power source. Now I know exactly which all alternate cables can be used and which ones to avoid, while charging my phone in a hurry.
It tells me the rate the battery is charging. Works fine on all of my phones and my galaxy tablet. If you've bought cheap chargers or "oem" chargers from Amazon or eBay then this is a great little app to have so you'll know if your new charger is good for your phone. It's very basic, it shows you the amps if it's charging, and it has no permissions. I'm so glad I was able to get this info so easily.
Works on Galaxy S2 and very useful. T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 (SGH-T989) running Android v4.1.2. Works great on my phone. I find it very useful to quickly compare chargers and USB cables and combination of them to figure out which ones charge the best. Not all USB cords are created equal and some of the cheap longer ones with small gauge wire won't allow much charging current even if the charger itself is rates for an amp. It also lets me determine which chargers don't comply with the Samsung for full charging so I can tell which ones default to a 500mA max vs. the roughly 0.8-0.9Amp charge rate of the original Samsung charger. And no stupid permissions required for this one as it should be for something like this.
Works great on Note4 With my phone attached to the charger but the charger not plugged into the car I can see the discharge rate, ie -450 MAH. Then plugging into the 12v outlet, I can see the nat charging amperage, ie 550 MAH. This means the charger is charging at a 1A rate. Great to compare the actual charging rate of an individual charger and see if they are operating as advertised.
some helpful GT-I9200 problem show unknown power source. app show accurate current compare with clamp meter but fast charge period only. After battery over 80% current value freeze@1900mA
Does not work on Droid Razr Maxx HD Installed it on my Droid Razr Maxx HD. When charging it would show unknown source with a rate of -367000 mA. Seriously? That's 367 amps of current flow. I should be dead just from holding my phone. With no charger connected, it shows current flow of 15000 to 20000 mA. That's a drain of 20 amps. My phone has a 3300 mAH battery. At 20 amps, my phone would have a maximum battery life of 10 minutes.
V2 - Minor fixes to support more phones. Still can't figure out the S3. Needs testing.
V4 - Minor fixes, some numbers weren't numbers and flagged a FC.
