Good app but with many bugs The application idea and interface is very good. However, many videos do not open and, when they open, they take too long to start in my nexus 5. Sometimes the app crashes. There is a good number of exercises and programs, but the number of bugs definitely impacts the user experience. There should have updates as soon as possible.
App is badly designed and carelessly implemented, besides the bugginess that others mention. Still photos of exercises often don't match the videos of same exercises. The videos themselves could often benefit from someone turning on a light in the room. There's no description of proper form, advice about reps and sets or info about which muscle groups are targeted, only broad categories like Back, Arms, Legs etc. Do any of the arm exercises work the biceps? Who knows? Maybe... I'm giving it 3 stars because it's useful despite its faults, with a lot of content and there's apparently little competition for a surf fitness app. Fitivity is not compatible with my tablet so this seems like the only game in town. It wouldn't take much to turn this into a good app. As it is it seems like a half-hearted effort.
Changed my surfing This app is mint. It was the missing link for my surfing. The sessions have made surfing much more enjoyable and even had me doing things I never thought possible.
Parko better watch out. Since I'm training for the pro tour, I figured this app, combined with my natural talent and 3+ months of surfing experience, will get me there. Also, watching Joel Parkinson doing exercises while I'm in the gym will really get me juiced. ASP world tour, here I come.
Joel Parkinson pro surf Awesome app with some great exercises and training from the best Wes Berg and J Parko!!! It's a must have app for keeping up fitness for surfing whether your at the beach or not.
A good take off point The app and the exercises are amazing. They kick my butt back into shape as I train for my summer surf sessions, but it definitely has a lot of room for improvement. The exercises get 5 stars, but the videos and need work, it would be better with audio to tell what muscles to focus on and how to correctly stand, what the starting position is etc. The "my activity" section doesn't work for me so I can't really track my progress. They need to do a few tweaks and then it would be 5 stars in my book
