HTC M8 Don’t was your time after about 3-5 mins with the screen lock on Accelerometer stops working. i check a couple of time and the same thing. after a 40min walk it recorded 7 mins.
Amazing I walked to the other end of town, and took the bus back, and everything was logged with amazing accuracy, even without GPS on. Google Maps has that distance as 4.6 km. "Moves" counted 6904 steps. That's a step length of 0.66m/step. That seems a bit short for me (I'm 1.92 m tall), but none-the-less, I'm impressed. I did NOT see he battery drain others have. The above calculation seems to indicate it is counting steps fairly well (again, unlike others). I'm running on a Samsung Galaxy S4, BTW.
Doesn't count all your steps. It definitely does not count every step. I use this app for a health and wellness program at work, it's linked to another account where I can earn money for steps taken and other health/fitness challenges. I use it bc it's easier than having to upload a separate pedometer. My built in phone pedometer is alway 3-4000 steps higher. Only keeping it for convenience purposes.
Not very good tracking The app worked fine for the first couple of weeks but now it tracks maybe 5% of what I do. I have a fitbit and can easily compare. I wouldn't use Moves if it wasn't for vitality scheme. At the same time it's so bad I am considering uninstalling and at least saving some battery life.
Doesn't accurate track steps I like the interface, but unfortunately it doesn't track steps correctly. I can see times when I was certainly walking and the app didn't register any walking.
Batter drainer, by midday I barely have half my battery left. This has been a daily occurrence since installing this app. Also, since installing this other apps will randomly close mid-use. I installed it for a bit and the apps and battery life went back to normal.
