terrible design. Decent concept, but the game play is clunky and tedious. It is pay to play if you want any chance at succeeding or even growing your town. Be prepared to spend $1000 a month to compete. the "battles" are riddiculous, especially in cross-state competitions. You can only teleport to certain areas and this forces you to make long, slow marches that the enemy just moves away from. You can only teleport to a new zone by buying special teleports (in cross-state). Terrible game.

There are about 3x too many areas that have events, things to buy, and daily things you need to click to get. It's a money grab and not worth starting if you haven't. I got this game because I wanted it to be true to the desktop version, but more and more Japanese pop culture keeps creeping in. Viking Rise is completely themed to its name and is fantastic in the immersion regard.

A recent server merge was done due to a lack of activity on most servers, but it doesn't address the root of the problem and it will be a matter of time before servers lose players again. F2P is discouraging as events with rewards are dominated by spending players, and no grinding apects. I've been/am in very powerful alliances, but doesn't make much a difference without spending. With little to no spending you can't fully enjoy the game, plus the gap between F2P and big spending only grows.
