Humanity lies in ruins.
The Rapture invasion came without warning. It was both ruthless and overwhelming.
The reason: unknown. No room for negotiations.
In what seemed like an instant, the earth was turned into a sea of fire. Countless humans were hunted down and slaughtered without mercy.
None of mankind's modern technology stood a chance against this colossal invasion.
There was nothing that could be done. The humans were laid to waste.
Those that managed to survive found one thing that gave them the smallest glimmer of hope: the humanoid weapons.
However, once developed, these new weapons were far from the miracle everyone needed. Instead of turning the tide, they only managed to make a minor dent.
It was a complete and utter defeat.
Humans lost their homeland to the Rapture and were forced to live deep underground.

Decades later, a group of girls awakens in the Ark, mankind's new home.
They are the result of the collective technological knowledge pooled together by all the humans driven underground.
The girls board an elevator to the surface. It has not been operated for decades.
Humanity prays.
May the girls be their swords.
May they become the blade that enacts revenge for humanity.
Born out of mankind's desperation, the girls head to the world above, carrying the hopes and dreams of the human race on their shoulders.
They are code-named Nikke, a name derived from the Greek Goddess of Victory, Nike.

I'm surprised how good this is. It's a mobile game. In app purchase prices are kind of high. But it's easy to roll along without spending a dime and build up over time. So much stuff to do, a surprisingly deep story. I love the action gameplay, the characters are endearing, and even the weird exploration puzzles of the Lost Sector provide variety. Always updating, always new events that reward generous upgrade materials and expand the lore or a character in ways big and small. Great game!

So far, this is simply one of the best gacha game I've ever played. The characters, the story, the plot, the soundtrack, the voiceover, the gacha system, the events, and everything is just perfect! The only problem is: The loading takes too long! The main loading, the game loading, the gacha loading, the event loading, the story loading. It's just rlly annoying for me, too much loading! That's why sometimes I got too lazy to play Nikke. Im guessing this is a big problem for the other players too

Great story and events held back by bad level design. The story is great if not a bit odd at times though that is part of its charm. But the level design is a carbon copy of the previous level with slight changes which really holds the game back. As the cover mechanic with bursts is cool but playing on the exact same level with similar if not the same enemies makes it boring fast! Which sucks as I want to see where the story goes but playing through the levels after the story pieces is a chore.
