If you haven’t already, visit www.prudential.com/online/retirement to register your account and start making the most of all the tools and resources available to you.

Please note, the app currently only supports customers enrolled in 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, or Defined Benefit Cash Balance plans.

If you are a participant in a NonQual-only plan or Defined Benefit Retiree Plan, or own other Prudential products (such as an annuity or life insurance policy), you will not be able to access your account via the app. We hope to expand the accessibility of our app to include additional Prudential account types soon.

Ratings and reviews

Empower is straightforward and easy to navigate. I can readily access and adjust contribution rates, research various funds, and get a snapshot view of my fund's performance. Very convenient from my smartphone.

A pretty slim app and service overall. Empower lacks many features that vanguard has like a contribution maximizer to figure out projected regular percentage is needed after bonuses and raises to max out but not lose out on employer match. Not sure why this sort of feature isn't standard in all financial institution apps for 401k.

App is useless!! Cannot access my account. Error msg every time I try to log in. Can't access through the web anymore. It just points you to the app which does not work. I'm moving my money somewhere else.
