Practical & uplifting!
Seems like a good idea but as I live in the UK and not US, it doesn't seem to work for me. You need to travel over the big pond!
Encourages breastfeeding moms to hide to feed! The intent seems all well and good. But look deeper and it's filled with negative commentary and verbiage that perpetuates society's expectation of women to feed their babies in private. Some women are not comfortable feeding their babies in public, and that's OK. But to assume that society is not ready for "boobs" sends a negative, self-conscious message to first time breastfeeding mothers. The rating scale makes me feel like I'm in grade school ("beware the stares", "got you covered", "whip it out!").
Good job, more to be done I think this app is necessary and a good start. It needs more options to filter and a map view. The layout is great, but I'd like to be able to see people's questions and answers as opposed to every bf/pump post in the world. Or at least a way to choose what I want to see. I'm going to keep it but think the company needs to work fast to improve and pay for advertising. Crowdsourcing this info only really works if thousands of ppl are on it.
Unable to search I'm unable to type a specific location to see where to pump. I'm planning a 3 day road trip from Texas to Alabama and would like to plan my stops based off of where I can nurse or pump. I'm not sure of this feature is available but would be a great addition.
hello radiant mamas -
we’ve added hyperlinks so you can share resources, great reads, and a good laugh in your posts (all things you need while breastfeeding).
what’s more, we’ve fine tuned our location features and map. we’ve had so many spots posted we’ve had to up our game (and that’s great news!).
it is my greatest pleasure to see all the beautiful mamas doing their thing and our list of pumpspots growing. thanks for joining the community and the boob-venture!
