About this app

Quinn Fetrow's Guitar Machines is a free tool to help teach you basic music theory concepts on guitar! I've got 4 guitar machines for you:

1. Note Machine - Teaches the notes on the fretboard one at a time, with options for randomization!
2. Scale Machine - Learn whatever scales you want in context of the CAGED system or use the "Custom Cage" setting to generate scales within a range on the fretboard.
3. Arpeggio Machine - Learn the arpeggios through the circle of fifths, or create your own arpeggio by selecting the notes of the chord.
4. Song Machine - Visualize the arpeggios of a song as it plays through its progression.

Never have I installed an app so quickly. I've been using the web version of these tools for a while now, patiently waiting for an Android version to drop. Quinn's work is fabulous, a great set of tools, with a positive message about learning and giving back to the guitarist community. Thank you Quinn!

Amazing app i came across on Instagram, it has a solid set of features for beginners from a tuner to scales, arpeggios, etc and it runs smooth with no glitches or anything. I would give it 5 stars but the UI isn't adaptive to the phone screen/display (yet🙌), making the icons really small and a little frustrating to change things precisely (like tempo or any lists). Adding to this the app does not rotate with your phone and the song system isn't explained so any input brings an error message.

First off, it's user-friendly, found this app on tiktok and never have I ever installed an app so quickly. This is a very helpful app for people who are interested in learning guitar. Kudos to you, Quinn.
