Has a lot of neat features. Too bad none of them work. When I try to turn on my AC from outside my home it works MAYBE a third of the time. And shortcut widgets are completely useless. EDIT: Why would I bother calling your customer service? The only time I ever called them when my a/c wouldn't connect, literally the only thing the rep knew to tell me was to keep resetting it and trying again until it worked.
Installed wink hub and expensive schlage door locks. Wink screwed up on an update and also screwed over everyone with schlage door locks. No answer from them when they will resolve problem. I don't think they even care.......
App permissions change!? Did the developer get lazy and make a mistake? There is no reason to require all the permissions this version update has enabled. I'll update my rating if I get a reply why these are necessary. Update: app is better, wink platform is getting better, have added many more devices, very good customer support. Better than SmartThings. Best part is Google Assistant support, able to use voice commands. Also, with that it is very simple to use IFTT for more commands, like activating a shortcut which is not support by Google Assistant directly. So loving the app for now. Slow to respond at times, widgets take time to activate. Have to reset sensors or siren at times and had to reset couple connected Osram light bulbs, GE bulbs have never given me any issue since I first started using Wink with the GE hub. I am using the Wink 2 Hub now. App is decent, laggy at times. I like the widgets, but it takes time to activate the widget, I have to wait a few seconds for the shortcut to get activated. I like that wink has the smartwatch app too, but it is a lot buggy on the watch. Does not show all shortcuts on the watch every time, missing some or all. Most importantly the "OK Google" command, the app description here on google mentions it, while creating shortcuts on the app it prompts to use "OK google" commands. BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. I have tried at least 100 times. Have even email and called wink multiple times, but still seems like work in progress forever. I was told 3 weeks ago on the phone that it will be available in 2 weeks but I am still waiting. This was one of the incentive of using wink. Otherwise Smarthings with Amazon Alexa is a great alternative. Wondering how long to wait.
Works great with the Wink 2. Have several lights and planning on getting more. Its great that is supports several protocols and can be used with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice controls.
Smart home beginning here we go. App is easy to use. Very, new to smart home user friendly. Looking forward to the Wink Apps updates.
