Parenting is one of the most interesting and rewarding experiences of our life. So we need to spend considerable time preparing to bring our children into the world. Indeed, raising children today is arguably challenging than ever before. You can distribute the work to your family members ; this will promote a feeling of unity and relatedness to each other .
Let your child also participate in these activities , letting him do things on his own will develop a sense of responsibility and self worth in your child .
Allow your child to choose his preference , tell him that he would be responsible for that work .
After the work is done , point out the faults and tell him about the scope of improvement , and at the same time praise them wholeheartedly .
It is important for the child to feel needed and heard .
Try to explain to your child the importance of work and its efficient completion .
To develop team spirit , set deadlines for them and show them that their ill performance would affect everybody else in the family .
Make sure that you work together with your spouse to set good examples for your children .
Let him express his opinion about the chores .
Make a chart of the child ’s accomplishments - If you feel that you have to remind several times to your child to do a certain work then a take steps forward and make a chore chart .
It means writing the work that he is supposed to do this week , it can include cleaning the room , yard work , taking out garbage , etc .
all you have to do is put a check mark once the assigned work of the day is done .
At the end of the week the chore chart would say about the performance of the child .
It would be inspiring for both of you .
And the child will feel accomplished Rewarding your child for the work is very important , although the feeling of successfully completing his assigned work is not equal to anything else , but as a parent you should set rewards for your child .
You can reward him by giving him pocket money for a week or anything else .
If you decide to reward monetarily be sure that the money is age appropriate .
You can also set two hours of video game or their favorite cartoon movie at weekends .
Regardless of the method , make sure that your child learns that certain things nice done will earn him his favorite food or movie .
Get rid of the thumb sucking : Thumb sucking is very calming and soothing for your child and as they have been doing it in the womb too , it is very relaxing and comforting for them .
They may suck thumb when they feel nervous , agitated , scared , ill or sleepy .
If your child has this habit , wait for this habit to go away on its own .
As children grow up they find different other ways to calm and relieve themselves , so don ’t start nagging them , let them learn themselves .
However , after a certain age , if you still feel that the child is not getting rid of it , try to calm them by distracting them or offering them other alternatives .
If you start punishing them or nagging them again and again they might feel uncomfortable .
So first of all make sure when and what situations trigger his habit of thumb sucking , is it when he wants to sleep or watching television .
Then , according to the situation offer alternative help , like if the child sucks his thumb to lull him to sleep offer him a toy or read him a story and so on .
Parents should not be very concerned about this habit if the child is too young .
Experts say that once the child has his permanent set of teeth , i .
around six years then it is a cause of worry .
It is also important to notice that how does your child suck his thumb , does he just put his thumb in his mouth passively or does he suck it aggressively .
If he uses the latter technique , it can harm his teeth as the tongue thrusts deforms teeth and make braces necessary .
So observe your child ’s technique and start curbing the habit as soon as possible .

There is no time in your child’s life that nutrition is going to be as important as it is right now, when it hasn’t even drawn its first breath.
Proper nutrition and good health are a vital part of having a healthy pregnancy, preventing many major birth defects and decreasing your chance of delivering a premature or low birth weight baby.
Since your baby is obviously incapable of eating by itself at this point in time they are going to get all of the nutrients they need to grow and develop properly from the foods that you eat. That means that you have to make sure that you’re eating enough for both of you-and not just in mean calories either!
For the next nine months the nutrients that you take in are going to have to sustain both your health and that of your fetus, so it’s essential that you make sure you’re getting enough of the necessary vitamins and minerals for both of you.
Your Prenatal Vitamins Aren’t Enough!
Many women read the section above and think, ‘I’m taking my prenatal vitamins like my physician told me, and I’m trying to eat healthy. Do I still have to worry about my nutrition?’
The answer to that is ABSOLUTELY. Prenatal vitamins help, but there is no substitute for proper nutrition during the gestation period. That’s not to say that you shouldn’t take prenatal vitamins.
They will go a long way toward helping to compensate for the necessary nutrients that are all but impossible to get through your food in a day.
There is a reason that prenatal vitamins are called nutritional supplements, however. On their own they’re not sufficient to ensure that your baby grows and develops properly. That’s why it’s vital that you understand what you need to do during your pregnancy to keep both you and baby healthy.
A lot of books on prenatal nutrition throw words like gestational diabetes, frenulum and folic acid around without ever bothering to explain what they are, leaving you scrambling for a dictionary and eventually causing you to give up. After all, if you can't even understand it when you read about it, how on earth are you ever going to do it?!?!
This book is among the first books to be written with the expertise of a medical expert and from the viewpoint of the average, everyday, ordinary, "going to be the one actually getting up in the middle of the night to change the baby's diaper while the obstetrician sleeps peacefully mom".
It's the book on pregnancy nutrition you'll actually understand, explained in stages to make it easy for you to give your baby the best chance at being born healthy and happy.
In this book, you will learn how to:
# The various stages of fetal development
# How nutrition affects how your baby grows
# The role that nutrition plays in determining whether or not your child has a birth defect
# How to have a healthy baby without giving up your favorite foods
# What to do when you can't follow a regular pregnancy “diet”
# How to lose those pregnancy pounds afterward quickly and painlessly, even if you’re nursing
# And a lot MORE!
With this book, anyone can learn what they need to know about pregnancy nutrition. Fetuses need most of the same things that adults do in order to thrive, so the hop from a pre-pregnancy diet to a pregnancy diet to a post-pregnancy diet should be a piece of cake!
