Good app, but doesn't restrict as much content as I'd like This app works great! The only downfall is that it doesn't work on all browsers, I was able to view adult content using the Firefox browser when testing it out.
regularly stops functioning frequently shows no activity in weekly reports as the app just stops tracking activity. I have raised this issue with support before, and they get it working briefly again, but without any longterm fix. effectively makes the app useless.
Not working properly In a previous version Chrome was blocked from unwanted websites. Incognito mode was also blocked. It is not working correctly. I have used incognito mode for several minutes without a block.
Doesn't work properly on Android (works great on Windows). I installed Qustodio on the phone & linked it to my account, but after about a day, Qustodio unlinked itself to my account and logged in using my son’s email address & password, which means it also created an account for him. I followed all the instructions to secure the settings to prevent my son from changing them, so it's not possible that he did change them, unless that's a bug, too. It makes no sense to use an email & password that my son has access to, since he can just change the settings himself. I even removed & reinstalled the app, but it happened again. So I gave up using my own account & used the newly created account for my son but changed the password. A few days later I tried to access his account using the new password, but it was rejected, while his old password worked. I really wanted to use Qustodio Preumium so I can control all my kids' devices from one account, since the overall functionality is good, but the implementation on Android is very buggy. I can't even recommend the basic version right now, since it's insecure from kids changing the settings themselves. Also, Qustodio support is poor.
Works on laptop better I have Qustodio on my daughter's phone. I can monitor it on my smart phone or laptop. It has the same features in both, but crashes on my smartphone sometimes when I am looking at the time line activity.
I like how Qustodio monitors home systems. The dashboard is great, and reporting is nicely detailed. But, where is the parent's mobile companion app? This app is good for installing on a child's mobile device, or any device that a child may use, but is there an app that is solely the Parent dashboard? This app requires setup as another monitored device, and there is no Parent Dashboard information available through it. The screen shots provided here are a bit misleading - they show dashboard, but it is not available through this app.
- New protection against app uninstall by kids
- New feature: Remove Qustodio. Helps parents safely uninstall Qustodio from inside the app
- Bugfixes and stability improvements
IMPORTANT: Qustodio prevents itself from being easily uninstalled by kids by dragging the app to the trash. Parents can safely uninstall by logging in to the app and clicking on Disable protection > Remove Qustodio.
