The Petfon tracker works great. I use mine for my 2 cats. I've had it for a year now and it still works great. My favorite feature is that I can push the button on the control module and it plays music on the tracker on my cat's collar. I have them both trained to come home when they hear that music. I feel much better about letting my cats go outside. Plus most important I don't need to pay a recurring monthly fee!

It seems ok for long range, but not short range. I wanted to track my cat around my immediate yard (almost 1 acre) to make sure she wasn't going into the neighbor's yards. It would only work when she left my defined safe zone (i.e. my yard). Otherwise, the app would track my cell phone location and not the tracker because they were too close together. Petfon tech said they needed to stay 20 yards apart to track right. Seems much farther than that for me. Returning because doesn't meet my needs.

Dear Roger,
Petfon would be able to track your cat no matter it's close or far away from you. When your cat is very close to you(0-10 yards), you could easily find out where your cat is by pressing the ring button. While, when your pet is further away from you, you could check your cat's position from the map

Just got tracker. ❤️ it. ! problems:made "geo fence" large enough as suggested(got no error message that may see false alarms)still getting false alarms pet exited/entered fence. Also Petfon should put the numbers of the houses on top of the houses on map (like Whistle )so you can locate where pet is more quickly( Or have a setting in maps to see house #s) If pet gets lost it would be kind of stressful. love tracker small&light esp for small pets and there is no monthly/yearly subscription fees
