About this app

Block Guard stops spam calls, robocalls and scam texts before they reach you, and keeps your personal data on your phone.

Scammers fake local numbers, send fake delivery and bank texts, and call back again and again. Block Guard screens every call and text on your device, blocks the junk, and lets the people you know get through.

STOP SPAM CALLS AND ROBOCALLS
• Blocks known spam numbers using a community spam list that updates automatically
• Blocks private, hidden and unknown callers if you choose
• Neighbor spoofing protection catches scammers who fake your area code (Premium)
• Blocks calls by area code, country or number prefix (Premium)
• Stops call storms from robocallers that keep redialing (Premium)
• Reject or silence blocked calls, your choice

BLOCK SPAM TEXTS AND SCAM MESSAGES
• A complete SMS and MMS messaging app with a clean inbox
• Block texts by keyword, sender or number
• Blocks texts from known spam numbers automatically
• Blocked texts go to their own list, so you can check them anytime

YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• One block list and one allow list for both calls and texts
• Family, work and your doctor always get through
• Quiet hours and schedules: block more at night, less during the day
• See the reason every call or text was blocked
• Back up and restore your lists and settings

PROTECT A PARENT OR GRANDPARENT
Older adults are the number one target of phone scams. Set up Block Guard once on a parent's phone, add the family to the allow list, and it quietly blocks scam calls and scam texts in the background.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Calls and texts are checked on your phone, not on our servers
• Block Guard does not upload your contacts, call history or messages
• No account or sign-up needed

FREE AND PREMIUM
The core spam call blocker and text blocker are free: your block list, allow list, known spam blocking, private and unknown caller blocking, and keyword text blocking. Premium adds neighbor spoofing protection, area code and country blocking, call storm protection, smart on-device call scoring, and removes ads.

GOOD TO KNOW
To block and filter texts, Block Guard needs to be your default SMS app. Call blocking uses Android's call screening. How a blocked call ends (rejected, silenced or sent to voicemail) can depend on your carrier, phone and Android version.

Ratings and reviews

this app works incredibly well with minimal ad distractions. I use a VPN that blocks ads so I don't even see any of the ads. other than that it works amazingly well at blocking any spam texts that I get, and I can block by the word or by the number or by a complete area code. it's definitely in the running as one of the best apps I've downloaded in a long time and I am highly considering getting a subscription or paying for the full year up front let's see if it will replace Google's spam filter

So far great app. Had it for a few days and cut out about 70 percent of spam calls. Couple of things. Anyway you can get the proximity sensor to work with the app. also with the dialer, anyway to type the first 2 or 3 letters of person name and it pulls up the person's name to dial. similar to what the default samsung dialer app does. also in text app, seems like no hyperlinks. when someone sends me a link, I cant click on it. have to copy and paste into browser. Thanks.

Fabulous! i keep getting random phone calls that I got certain loans. I've tried messing with them. I've tried giving them fake information. I've tried yelling at them. I've tried just hanging up on them, and they still come through. And i've tried blocking 'em.This app is the only app that has stopped it.And it tells me how many it's stopped in a day without actually physically getting calls! its cheaper than any other stuff out there.
