You need to install Lightflow Legacy It worked nicely on my Samsung Note 3. I even paid for the full version. When I upgraded to a Note 4, it stopped working. I received a message to install their legacy version, which I did. What I didn't know, is that I need to keep the paid version as well as the new version in order to not have to pay for the legacy version. They explain this on their website, but it is not obvious from the app. I still have not been able to get the LED lights working properly.
I have the Pro version. It worked great on my Samsung Galaxy S6 until two operating system upgrades ago. Then the sound alerts stopped working. After the Marshmallow upgrade, the LEDs don't work. So until the developer comes up with a workaround, the app is doing nothing.
Was perfect until I got a Nexus 5x From what I read there are limitations on the Nexus 5x that prevent the full colour spectrum from being used. I can't get anywhere near the range of colours I got on my Nexus 5. This is a Google/LG issue and not the fault of the dev.
Legacy Version Fixes It Back to the annoying persistent notification. No way to disable it. 1 star until this is changed. EDIT: Legacy version released, thanks developer! No thanks to Google for the API issue!
It works with the Pixel if you turn off "Direct Mode" and disable "Root mode" in "Device Settings and Root" in the app. There are a couple caveats: - Unlike with my Nexus 6, it looks like the LED blinks and doesn't stay solid. I liked the solid LED better, but this is okay. It may be a hardware issue or I may have configured the app incorrectly. - I had to disable Ambient Display. The app causes the Ambient display to come on every 20 seconds or so. I tried to change the wake screen setting to 5 minutes, but the screen still went ambient every 20 seconds. Aside from those two things, it's nice to have the LED working.
Love it Just installed this for my Nexus 6p... Glad to have this app once again. My only issue with this app is the on going and never goes away notification bar. I went through the settings trying to remove it. What a pain in the ass to find the particular setting to remove the icon bar. I just want to see the notification from text or missed phone calls not the ongoing notification from Light Flow showing nothing at all. Also I don't know why there's more than one Light Flow app.
