Attention: App is not support on Android 5.0 anymore!
The ultimate tool for root users to FREEZE unwanted apps on your droid! Quickly get rid of the overrated BLOAT that is added by your phone manufacturer or network provider!
But the app is not only useful to block system apps: APP QUARANTINE is here to replace your TASK MANAGER as well. Without draining any battery you can quickly disable apps that you don't need very often and with the homescreen WIDGET you get them back in action with a fingertip.
For experienced users there are even more options like disabling system services or automatically freezing unwanted apps after flashing a new CUSTOM ROM.
If you love using this app just as much as I love developing it then let me know and give me your feedback! I'm always looking forward to receive more comments and ratings in the Market and read YOUR OPINION in my BLOG or on GOOGLE PLUS!
Attention: This app will only work on devices with ROOT access!

this dev is smart. the only app that worked on my other ics phone which actually needs freezing n all cos of less ram. one feature i wanted is to make groups and enable and disable by groups cos some apps like google play store need google play services also so have to enable both. if they were in one group could do that in one click

It was working perfectly until I couldn't unfreeze my apps anymore!! Hello Quarantine team, I would like to report an issue happened with my wife's mobile phone samsung S Dus, i was using for her mobile the free quarantine app, I freezed many apps and when the time came that we needed them to be unfreezed again, the process shows that it's working but when i go to check the apps in the apps menu i couldn't find them, came back to the quarantine app i found the apps still there, and again and again I kept trying and restarted the device but the app didn't work as should be. please fix this issue asap. the apps i need they're main apps on my wifes Android phone, I mean system apps mostly and I guess some other personal apps, Thanks a lot for this great app and keep it up guys you're doing great.

Convenient Works better than the tools in the Settings app. It's great for disabling Google Play Services and related apps that aren't required and suck RAM and battery; those services can be re-enabled when needed. It's a little slow, but otherwise it works great.

Great but needs folders Very useful app. Please add folder support or a way to group /filter apps in quarantine . Right now it seems the choices are to use a single app in the widget or open the entire app quarantine app to view all my apps. It would be more useful to create groups of apps to manage. I would buy the pro version for this feature.

Great but improvement would be welcome Great looking. But it might be better if will not reread the whole list of apps on startup and have an option to update it manually. It's boring to wait too long if you have many applications installed on your android

This app took away task manager I just want to know how to get it back iv uninstaled it andit still has not come back and my home button does not work please help me i realy lik3 this app cheers
A must have for rooted phones. This application exceeded my expectations and now it has become a must have because it frees your phones from unnecessary applications that constantly run in the background. I think this application should definitely be noted as one of the best programs and a must have for a rooted phone.
5-Star Essential App Goes Bad App Quarantine Pro is -- was -- my favorite app for disabling Samsung bloatware and ATT spyware on my rooted Notes 2, 3, & 4. It is an essential app for that purpose. BUT APP's Free & Paid versions now CRASH as soon as app opens (on ATT Note 3 with KitKat).
does exactly what i wanted My goal was to freeze apps and processes that came with my phone that i did not want or use. After i rooted the phone, this app completed the task i set out to do. Thanks!!
Uninstalling some apps as root can cause bootloop on your device. Freezing apps is sometimes possible even when you cannot uninstall then. I've used this app for years on my old phone. It's still great. Thank you
Good! Can be great! I save lots of battery by disabling viber, whatsapp, skype and messenger cause they eat lot of power in background even when I am not connected to internet. This app should have a button or profile so that by clicking one button I can disable/enable selected set of apps.
Great app Had an app that I used to lock apps, and when the app went crazy and would not let me access my apps, this let me access them again, it even froze that app that was a device administrator!
Doesn't work on Android 5 As noted in the description, doesn't work on Android 5. (The only review for my device and current version gave 5 stars.) I really just want to stop that stupid T-Mobile app and I can't root the phone.
Why not Google+? I will say this service worked great up until recently. Now no matter how hard I try to shut down Google+, hangouts or s health, they pop back up within seconds. Not sure if the option to keep updated apps quarantined only works on pro but this has become moderately frustrating
Forgot Password Hey., thanks for this app, it is great !! but now i'm in trouble, I lost/forgot my password. how to open this app when forgot password ?? next version update, please add feature to adding email for used when forgot password, so we can open this locked apps with some key we received via email. sorry for my bad english :)
Works as expected, but need more work. In fact the key feature of this app is really a simple feature that a lot apps have it (eg: titanium backup) but this app is easier to use. Widgets are good but icon can't be customized with launcher icon pack and can't be put in a folder. So instead of 1x1 widget, could you make it launcher shortcut?
Great, but crashes on unquarantine This app has worked great, but like others have mentioned, for some reason it has started crashing after you click unquarantine. I'm not sure if it's safe to un/reinstall the app, or if that will cause it to forget what was previously quarantined, thereby preventing me from ever unquarantining. Suggestions?
Incredibly useful app Has made disabling and freezing apps so much easier with widgets. Needs some improvement when using the main app when trying to find some other app. But overall I love it, keep up the good work.
Good, but I have two questions 1. Why freezed apps are not Force stoped ? who still trigger wakeup lock, was show in Wakelock Detector. 2. What's the different between "Quarantine home screen widgets" and "Quarantine Drawer" ?

1. frozens apps ARE force stopped. 2. Widgets you can place them on the homescreen, with the Quarantine drawer you can emulate a whole "App drawer" from which you can run disabled apps etc. I didn't know my S3 could run this fast! My phone had become so slow I wanted to throw it out the window. This app gave it lightning speed - without having to uninstall anything! (After freezing a bunch of Samsung crap - it runs even faster than when it was new!) My best tip - freeze all shopping apps until you go to that store. They are memory hogs and privacy risks.
Great App! The check for updates of quarantined apps feature does not seem to work. I have quarantined apps which have pending updates but they do not show up in the updates section in the play store when they're quarantined. EDIT: Thanks for the quick reply. I've rated it five stars as your app truly deserves it we'll look into the matter together on Google+.

Sorry if this feature was miss-leading to you. The problem is that apps (especially Google apps) in quarantine are sometimes updated by Google Play (and therefore removed from quarantine). Usually when an app is quarantined you don't want updates. With this feature those apps are put back into quarantine again. Works great. I use it to quarantine several Google apps (Books, Movies, etc.) and other bloatware that used to run in the background and slow down my phone/drain the battery.
Needs tutorial and explanation and why remove in app drawer? Very confusing for a first timer to use. When I "lock" that app does it freeze that app by adding it in the quarantine zone? or does it only hide it from the app drawer? Furthermore, why does it need USB debugging to work? sorry I am not good at things. Should I keep USB debugging ON all the time? is their away to FREEZE apps running in the background but not remove them from the app drawer? also please add the ability to immediately run the app if I press it. I want to freeze VIBER AND FACEBOOK but when I do use them I wish with just one touch it will stop the FREEZE process. Anyway great FREEZE app. Also add a YOUTUBE video on this app of yours so everyone can see
Works Helped me in disabling Play Services without having to uninstall updates. Now i can enable Play services for Maps only when i require. Saves battery. Great app
Will rate 5 stars if I can have my questioned answered Why can't it be shortcuts instead of widgets? That way i can keep the apps in my app drawer and folders. Ill rate 5 stars no matter the answer if i can get a response

In the current beta version (Android 4+ only) you can create shortcuts to a group. Maybe it will be possible to add shortcuts to apps too if I can figure out a way to add some indicator to the icon so you won't confuse it with standard app icons. So far I didn't add them because you can't update shortcuts later on (lock/unlock status indicator). Alternative to Greenify for Gingerbread They never released the radios for my reeeeally good Droid Charge, so no CM ROM for this phone. Greenify isn't available & Market Helper didn't have a token for the Charge. Memory boosting makes my phone really fast, so I am loking forward to seing a very small "Running Apps" list. Thank you!
Doesn't work and I have full root access I froze some apps and system apps as advanced user and it didn't not freeze selected apps it returned to enabled state. Sorry developers, but this app failed me and now I can't give you 5 stars :( -> USE TO WORK...
It was working fine until it got updated now it just sends me to the app menu of configuration--dumb. If it ain't broke, don't fix it dummies. I am going to uninstall it cause I can go to the conf. Menu without it
No lollipop, no problem! If you can't keep up with even Verizon's schedule, don't bother. Was good until now.
Nice and working The stupid facebook app background service finally is freeze now!
Excellent app Tested on samsung note 4 edge n915a 4.4.4 ..I couldnt find any permanent root for this phone...temp root freeze apps but on restart all come back....thanks to this app Iam able to freeze my unwanted system apps permanently even after restart.
Solid App Solid app, works well. It needs to be updated for Marshmallow. For whatever reason it doesn't freeze apps anymore, 1 app or 18 apps at the same time it doesn't matter, the loading wheel will spin forever. Please update this great app, I'm forced to use other inferior apps.
Great app! It does what it's suppose to do. It turns stuff off (quarantines) and frees up space and processor waste.
usefull apps when using fb messenger app feed more ram causes ur phone to lag, by using this apps freezing fb messanger app help boast more ram of your phone, and you also use chat using fb apps.
Exactly as advertised This app does exactly as advertised and is working fantastic so far. All quarantined apps are as good as gone, and in case of erratic behavior, it's easy to restore them. Kudos to the Dev. Cheers
Samsung Note 3 (rooted) Essential app. Gets rid of all the bloatware.
Love this app! I have the pro version. I use it to freeze bloatware apps that are installed in /system on my rooted Galaxy S5. Highly recomended app.
Necessity for rooted phone Awesome utility. If you can add auto freeze in a set time value, nothing like it.
A Must Have I just have to say if your phone is rooted and I highly recommend doing so because then you could use this application which is an absolute necessity. It gives you the ability to freeze programs and prevent them from running in the background and programs you don't use all the time, it absolutely saves battery life and applications like Facebook or Google Maps is definitely a battery drain spoke with this program you simply turn it off until you need Flawless and in my opinion one of the best apps out there
