Good but Sun passage dances around in AR live camera view, as trying to track the suns location later in the day. This is probably because the phone isn't turning about a perfect vertical line, but still it's frustrating
I've been using Android since the first handset (G1) was released. I almost jumped ship to iPhone (ewww) because we didn't have a Photopills type app for Android. I came across Sun Surveyor and it is hands down my favorite app of ALL TIME. Really lets me plan my Milky Way shots with ease.
Still loving it I do real estate photography and I can count on Sun Surveyor to tell me precisely where the sun will be at all times throughout the day, and exactly where and when the sun will set in relation to the property. Street view is a real time saver. Checking out the light before I arrive is a real time and money saver. Highly recommend this app. Worth every penny. I use this on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and the speed and refresh rate are so good, I never have to think about it.
Nice Update I tried another version like this but once I seen I could use the Lite (free) version of this app to make the other app work (calibrate) I knew I should have just purchased this instead. The calibration tool included is a huge plus. Nice layout and UI. Like what I see so far.
So far, so good First day with it. Compass works well. Verified against a standard hand held compass. Pleased with locator data and all the celestially significant time data. Thanks!
Expensive but worth it. Great job. This is a must have app for any photographer
