My first and last I can't imagine my life with out RBC! This is my first bank here in canada and I think also my last. I can't see doing banking with other institution. The employee's are really accomodating. The apps. Loved it easy to use with additional feature fingerprint scanner, good for a Samsung Galaxy S7 User like me. My financial advisor is really great and comfortable to be with, we talk like we've already known each other. The Online is Accessible. So far, so good. Thumbs up !👍
So there's been some improvement on the cheque deposit issue, but I still have to use the manual option. I wish I could use the manual option right away. Every single time I have to wait for it to tell me it can't take the picture before it allows me to do it manually. Previous post: As a small business I thought it would eliminate some travel time away from the office to deposit cheques via this app, but it takes longer to take the photo than driving to and waiting at the bank! 1 in 10 shots is good and I have used a black base, under good light and a support for the phone so it wouldn't move. Nothing seems to work. I've even tried clearing the data and reinstalling. Please fix this issue.
Crashing on login Used to be a great app... 1 star until I can login without crashing. I have rebooted and reinstalled the app with no luck. Stock OnePlus One update: I called and waited on hold for 15 minutes before giving up. How about you just fix the app, it worked great until last week.
App requires knowing things like what sites you visit and what apps are running. Not sure what this has to do with helping me bank. Seems like another grab at PII and other sellable or actionable personal data. EDIT: RBC reply indicates usage tracking is for support and upgrades. I'm not an Androoid developer so maybe this is possible, but it seems extremely unlikely. Simply monitoring *in app* use should be enough for that. Still seems much more likely that user information above and beyond what's immediately required to do banking is collected.
Pathetic invasion of privacy Ask for permission that have no effect how the app is supposed to work. The permissions are strictly an invasion of privacy and not needed. The app doesn't load after last update, it's 100% useless. This app has been going downhill for a while. Rbc doesn't have a clue how to make a good bank app. It used to be good app, now they just want your info. It's sad that a bank is logging personal info from their customers.
For about three weeks now this app keeps crashing at log in. Can't go anywhere. Uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen times. What's up with Canada 's largest bank can't fix an app used by millions of clients!
