I downloaded magazines to have available while I was without internet and less than one week later was prevented from viewing because I had "...been offline for too long". As a paying subscriber I find this unacceptable. The choice of magazines is good, but the execution of the app is poor. No bookmarks across devices, no indication of what is part read, no latest page viewed marker, and now, it seems, no genuine offline mode.
Brilliant! Absolutely the best 8 quid a month subscription I've made after any charitable ones. Also support were great when I contacted them about a glitch - suggested a fix and it worked first time. Been fine ever since.
I was unaware that the puzzles could also be accessed. Deadly online advisers were very quick and efficient in explaining how to do this. All in all, kudos to the team for actually being on their game and supporting where needed
I still can't get over how good this is! You've only got to read or browse a couple of magazines a month to make the subscription pay for itself. I regularly browse a wide variety of magazine and I'd hate to think what it would have cost if I'd bought them! Brilliant.
Brilliant - now includes Fortune and PC Pro making me even happier. App works well on a tablet; the magazines are very readable...and much lighter than the paper versions. Next request:Private Eye. Finally, would really help to have a percentage read indicator against each magazine. Or if too complex, at least to be able to manually set a magazine as read with a big green tick displayed?
Love Readly but in the app it really needs to be easier to distinguish between downloaded, partially read, and finished issues. At the moment it's not consistent or obvious.
