Main point- IT HAS POTENTIAL. This is an absolutely brilliant idea for people who want to lose weight but aren't motivated enough to take the first few steps. I love the idea of the program and the online coach sessions, but the app needs a lot of work. You shouldn't have to re-sign back in every time you close the app. Video connection is terrible. App fluidity could use some work. All in all I'm very excited to be working with Real Appeal, but they definitely need a major upgrade to the app to reflect that same brilliant idea.
The app is very difficult to use. I get a white screen often and have to uninstall and reinstall and still have issues. This past week I tried to join and could never get on even though it must have clicked for a few seconds and said that I had attended when I hadn't seen anything. There are always people to talk to on the phone which is good but there was no way for me to get a Makeup Session because it had clicked on for a couple seconds. The whole concept of the plan is wonderful but the app makes it very difficult and frustrating
It definitely can be better. I don't like that you have to keep putting your password in. It should at least keep you logged in for a set amount of days. Sometimes even when I'm logged in, I have a white screen and can't go any further. I have to close out the app and log in again. I wish the food tracker was better as well. Someone should take a look at the weight watchers app and take notes. It keeps track of your foods you've eaten, but only under the times you've eaten it. Ex: if you eat toast for breakfast, it'll only save toast under breakfast. So, if you eat toast for lunch/ dinner, you'll have to search toast again. I think whatever you eat at anytime should show up in the quick find list anywhere.
2 stars is a favorable review because I like the program. The app is painful to use. You have to sign in each time you use it. If you enter breakfast, then leave the app idle for a few hours before lunch you will have to close it and reopen (and relogin) to do anything. Would not be surprised to find out it was coded by monkeys on a typewriter.
I constantly have to uninstall and reinstall because all I get is a white screen. I can only seem to get the app to load on my phone and none of my other devices. I hope they can fix these issues soon because I'm excited to start the program.
After using the Weight Watchers app, this seems to be more difficult to use. A few things this could benefit from- don't make me log in everytime- I just want to log what I need to and move on. It's an extra step when you use the app multiple times a day. Make logging your food the primary focus on the home screen- it's what I do the most frequently and don't want to go through so many screens to get to it. Allow me to save my frequently used foods and quickly put them in the appropriate category. I also tried adjusting my calories and received an error that my weight needed to be more than 10 lbs and wouldn't let me save my changes. I didn't change my weight, I changed my calories. The error message was not helpful and I still couldn't make the update...finally gave up after a few tries.
