Terrible. Having to log in every time is ridiculous enough. But now it will not record your weight. They say they are aware of the issue. But seriously. A weight loss app where you can't record your weight? I seriously hope my employer did not pay too much for this program.
Main point- IT HAS POTENTIAL. This is an absolutely brilliant idea for people who want to lose weight but aren't motivated enough to take the first few steps. I love the idea of the program and the online coach sessions, but the app needs a lot of work. You shouldn't have to re-sign back in every time you close the app. Video connection is terrible. App fluidity could use some work. All in all I'm very excited to be working with Real Appeal, but they definitely need a major upgrade to the app to reflect that same brilliant idea.
It definitely can be better. I don't like that you have to keep putting your password in. It should at least keep you logged in for a set amount of days. Sometimes even when I'm logged in, I have a white screen and can't go any further. I have to close out the app and log in again. I wish the food tracker was better as well. Someone should take a look at the weight watchers app and take notes. It keeps track of your foods you've eaten, but only under the times you've eaten it. Ex: if you eat toast for breakfast, it'll only save toast under breakfast. So, if you eat toast for lunch/ dinner, you'll have to search toast again. I think whatever you eat at anytime should show up in the quick find list anywhere.
The developer of this app should be ashamed of themselves. The app is neither smooth, nor stable. It crashes constantly, and it feels like a cruddy webdev wrapper around the website. The permissions requiring the device ID are also unneeded since you're already logging into the app with credentials. Overall, it feels like an app that was developed for Android, by sometime who couldn't bother to learn how to use material design, or even app design. *Sigh*
The makers of this app need to experience WW and MFP to see how a tracking app SHOULD work. Constant crashes and a confusing interface make this app cumbersome and difficult to use. I have to enter cals I've already calculated as "Generic" and then enter the amount and arrrrggghh! Quick add, anyone? This is by no means a review of the program, I've just started it and it seems good, but this app is HORRIBLE.
The Real Appeal program is excellent and it works! The Real Appeal app, well, it SUCKS. I hate that you have to sign in every time you use it, the a/v quality during group sessions is awful and I have to log in and out multiple times during a session to continue most times. The food library is pathetic. Developers take notice of these negative reviews, we're all saying the same thing!!! Take notes from WW or MFP apps!
