This app is a great tool for filmmakers! And the price well worth it, because being able to save the time and headaches doing shot lists, schedules and organize everything, and having everything in one place, is just perfect. But it's not worth it just because of the app but is also worth it because of the Team behind the app! Seriously, people should have more patience. I bought the app and subscribed to the service, and with the last update there was a bug that would crash the app every time I tried to return to a previous screen. Annoying as hell, specially when you paid for something and you expected to be able to use it asap. Right? But, instead of coming here and make a bad review about the app and the team, I sent an email to them, being respectful and trying to give as much useful information as possible about my problem. And guess what? Their reply was super fast! And I don't mean that it was after 10mins fast. No, that's not what I am saying, because despite the fact that I am a paid costumer I don't pay exclusivity 24/7, so as a costumer I should consider this things and have some patience. BUT, and considering that I am in a different time zone, having a reply 4h after my first message, oh yeah that's fast =) Aaand they were very helpful! At the time I was the first person with that problem! They asked me more information that they needed to track the problem and at some point they told me that if I would like to I could have a refund, to which I said no, because I prefer to have them have their time to fix the app and be able to use it! So, they told me that it would take a bit longer because it was Christmas time, which is understandable, if I am not working at Christmas why would I be upset about that? They even offer to give me a code to a a apple version, that I didn't accept because I don't have any apple device. They promised to let me know as soon as they had the fix and they kept their promises. It's week after Christmas and got and email from them giving me the best news. Downloaded the update and problem solved! We need to have more patience because develop an app, like making a movie is not just "press a button" and its done! I thought it would take a bit longer to the problem to be fixed so while waiting I started doing it for my current project as I've been doing it for the last 12 years and now I just had to copy it to the app. Anyway =) In resume: Great app and Great team Couldn't be happier about everything! This app is great on IOS but straight garbage on Android - always crashing can't export PDF or the other file types to my drive. Don't want excuses just want the app to do what its supposed to.
I paid for the application for 15.99 and the application would not let me do anything. It froze on my phone mutiple times. So i thought maybe I needed to buy the subscription for 13.99. So I bought the subscription for 13.99 and it This APP would Still Not let me Do StoryBoards even though I BOUGHT IT.! It kept telling me I have to buy StoryBoards for 13.99 to access this feature. I could not access NONE OF THE FEATURES of the SUBSCRIPTION even though I bought the SUBSCRIPTION. This app is A scam and did not even provide the basic Needs I needed. WAste of Money. I Want my Money Back. This App IS MISLEADING.
Can't save files to my local drive. This app wasted 20 hard-earned bucks.
I like this app...a lot. I use it to shot list any film/commerial/promo that I direct. Also many sets I script supervise on use it and they are able to share their shotlist/schedule with me. It syncs very nicely and smoothly. And it syncs across both platforms (Android or iOS) which is nice. Also, their customer service is on point. I highly recommend this app.
Shotlister is an incredible resource for dissemination of information. If PROPERLY used the app will help you make the day even on the toughest productions. There is wonderful support that goes above and beyond to help. Truly made by filmmakers for filmmakers.
