Script Rehearser can be configured to support your personal learning style. For example:
• Listen Along. Script Rehearser speaks, you listen. You can play, pause, and jump forward to your next line or back to your previous one.
• Wait For Me. Script Rehearser pauses for each of your lines until you’re ready to continue
• Repeat for Confirmation. Script Rehearser leaves a gap for you to say the line, then automatically speaks the line for confirmation and carries on
• Run Through. Script Rehearser leaves a gap for you to say your line, then automatically carries on with the next line

‡ Note that for a PDF file to import it must contain the text of the script, not just pictures of the text. Some PDFs contain scanned images of the text rather than the text itself, and the app can't import these files as it needs the actual text to work with.

Ratings and reviews

The app WAS great. Now the app is completely messed up. Now when using the free version at least half the voices don't work, so only certain lines can be heard, and if the voice assigned doesn't work or wrong gender voice you can't change it! I ended up losing all my saved sides because I had to delete and reinstall the app to try and fix it...it didn't work. And forget contacting the makers, they don't respond. I used to love and recommend this app. I am going to have to find a new one now.

Five stars for excellent customer service and effectiveness. When I switched phones, I struggled to access and upload content, but SR CS responded quickly, investigated the issue, and made the app work on my phone. Features aren't like a video game; I am memorizing lines, not playing a game. My castmates remark how quickly I know my lines! **Four years later, and I STILL use Script Rehearser DAILY. It's especially useful while driving. Recent updates (including fun accent options) are a plus.

It is very helpful. However, I'd like to see an easier way to scroll to a specific scene/song. It doesn't pick up stage directions or scene/song titles very well from text files, even from text files that have been exported from this program, even if they have parenthesis around them and seems to have issues with the long dash importing.l, turning into goofy characters. Other than that, no complaints.

What’s new

* The new Rehearser Text-To-Speech engine provides high-quality digital voices in English on most devices. Switch to this in the app's Settings.
* Stage directions embedded in dialogue are now spoken using the Stage Directions voice.
* The Script Library now allows sorting of scripts. The default is Most Recent First
