Helpful, but exactly how helpful and what kind of experience you have with the software/app will be largely dependent on the teachers. If the teacher is non-communicative, nothing is going to help. Conversely, in the hands of a tech-savvy teacher that really cares about the learning experience of her/his students this is an excellent tool. Those kinds of teachers are going to make the best of any tools/technology they have. And please don't forget how big a part of this equation you are...you have the power to undermine even the best of teachers.
5 stars when it opens to my 'All Classes' view. I don't always want to open to the last active msg. I can see the preview on the 'All Classes' screen anyway. I do love how my 3 boys' teachers and I have a secure and easy way to communicate! This is a great app.
I wish we could create groups if we're under 13. How are me and my friends going to be able to talk together for a community project? Group chats don't work on my phone. :(
Changed my review. Too dependent on how the teacher wants to use it. No control from the parent side. Our teacher disabled replies and messages so it limited my ability to communicate. I now have to check this app and STILL send paper notes to school.
Very user friendly. A great and secure way to communicate with my daughters teacher and other family's in her class. Love this app and it is time saving just being able to type a message to the teacher from home with out having to go in person! Would recommend to every school for them to use this app!
Interface is not easy to use. Many people aren't receiving emails. Can't see announcements sent before joining.
