Truly, just use Wise. remitly promises fast payments but in reality it takes days, in my case over a week because they were slow and inaccurate with the international bank security checks. I did some 5 transfers with them, and only one had an accurate time estimate. I had to cancel the others because remitly did not process the follow up information I sent on their request correctly, or it just took so long we had to pursue other services. do not use.

EXCEPTIONAL customer service! If you're new to this or if it's one of your first times, just reach out to them, they will help you. It does get complicated to send money from one country to another with exchange rates and very strict delivery rules. Sometimes you have to match up IDs, sometimes you have to match up phone numbers, sometimes it has to be both. It's very complicated for some situations and can get messy and frustrating quickly. The customer service at Remitly is SO helpful!!!

Easy app to navigate, okay exchange rates, and transfers work — but only with credit cards in my experience. My $300 transfer cost $11.40 by card, while the advertised $1.99 bank transfer option never worked. Customer service blamed my bank (false, confirmed by bank), keeps repeating scripts, “escalating” cases, and promising callbacks that never happen. Feels misleading to advertise a cheaper option that doesn’t actually work.
