About this app

ChildWatch Family is the mobile companion app for families whose childcare provider uses the ChildWatch childcare management system. It gives parents secure, convenient access to their account, their children’s information and daily activity, all from their phone or tablet.

With ChildWatch Family, parents can quickly see their current balance and recent ledger activity in a simple summary dashboard. Any important notifications such as balance reminders, birthdays and new messages from staff are highlighted so families stay informed at a glance.

The app helps parents monitor all financial activity on their account. Detailed ledger views show charges and payments that have posted, giving a clear history of credits and debits over time.

ChildWatch Family also supports rich parent–teacher communication and engagement. Centers can share photos and updates from the classroom so parents can see their children participating in games, nap time, field trips and other activities, and staff can send important documents such as forms and notices for parents to review.

Attendance tracking is fully integrated. Parents can view when each child was dropped off and picked up, and by whom, providing extra peace of mind and clear records of daily sign-in and sign-out events.

For centers using ChildWatch ePay services, the app makes electronic payments fast and secure. Parents can make payments on their account, and manage their own stored credit card or checking information through the secure payment processor without needing to call the office.

The app is designed with offline capability for busy families on the go. Key actions such as ePayments, messages and attendance events can be recorded even when a device is temporarily offline. These items are queued and uploaded automatically once an internet connection is available, helping ensure nothing is missed.

Security is central to the ChildWatch Family experience. Parents register their device and log in using credentials provided by their childcare provider, and can update contact details, emergency contacts and other profile information as it changes, helping the center keep records accurate and up to date.
