The app is crashing whenever I open another app and do a split screen. Also I think it would be very helpful for example sentences to have the links to words used in the sentences along with the translation. Or at least make the words in the example clickable. I really like this app and would really appreciate it if the flashcards were more customizable and able to be exported to an SRS app like Anki.
When I used this app a while back, I was able to do these study lists. I got a little behind and my list got rediculously backed up. Because there was no "clear daily list" function, or anything like it, I just deleted the app, and now my list doesn't even go down. It is pretty unfortunate, because I liked how this app had a way to study vocab and it provided a daily list for you to do.
The feature of letting me save the whole sentence to a word list is very helpful. Remembering vocabulary is easy but trying to remember how to use some words are hard. The drawing of the kanji symbols are horrible. They look like a second grader is writing it. Need to upgrade that feature.
It's pretty good, full of useful info, like it has conjugation tables and stuff. The ads are sorta annoying though. And that fancy main menu with the words sorta drifting by doesn't work on the LG G6's 18:9 screen
I tried to be patient but geez. This app does not flip the cards when clicked. When I had an iPhone, there was no issue. They are already SEVERAL updates ahead of this version. Seriously update this! It's buggy. Why do the cards not flip and show the example sentences?! Seriously! And where is the making your own lists like the Apple version! This is my first review ever that would tell you I'm annoyed.
Probably the technically most up-to-date Japanese-English dictionary in the Play Store. A modern design between lot of app designed for Android 4.0 or previous. Hope to see the v4.0 update on Android really soon, after that I probably won't feel anymore the need of Imiwa or similar apps.
What's new in Version 2.1:
Fixed a bug which made the app crash when learning lists
Furigana can now be properly turned off in Study mode
Best Korean, Japanese and Chinese Mandarin Learning App for Total Beginners!
