My version, 1.27 was designed for the iPhone 4. To be contemporary, I use a Samsung Galaxy S4 to run it. It works fine. Hoping the new version doesn't scrape me off and force a new phone. The data may not be medical grade, but usefully correlates with how I cope or struggle each day.
I wanted a sleep monitor, and the S+ works pretty well. Certainly better than the sleep tracking apps that go with phones and activity trackers. The app itself isn't flexible or informative enough to be really interesting, and the 'mentor' is a joke. A good start would be a way for it to distinguish between nightly sleep and naps, or to adjust based on more than one variable. (Today, it congratulated me on the number of awakenings being down, ignoring the fact that, according to it, I only got about 3.5 hours of sleep total.) Smart alarm doesn't wake me up. Don't need the mind clear function and haven't tried the relax to sleep option. Overall, I'd rather just have a sleep tracker that gave me a lot of raw and processed data, and lose all the associated fooferah that doesn't seem to work anyway.
Lots of great information but it a pain to use. Sync issues, long load times for the night time questions (I just want to sleep it the same questions ever night, why does it take so long to load?) but the worst thing is that when you use the smart alarm to wake up you have to go back into the app to tell it to stop monitoring your sleep. Why wouldn't the button for ending the alarm tell the app to stop monitoring my sleep?? This leaves it so the next time you go to use the app, bed time, you have to tell the app to stop monitoring your last night's sleep wait forever for it to sync the data and now you can enjoy waiting for the same 5 questions that you are asked every night to load a good 60 seconds. I bought this so I could sleep better not so I could fight to stay away another 5 minutes due to this awful app. Great possibilities here, awful programing.
Pairs and syncs without a problem. Great - like it. BUT. Just a general observation - the current App requires you to log in to ResMed. Why? Can't it monitor without logging in? This extra step is ridiculous.
Great when it works. It has been taking me 10-15 minutes a night to make it sync. Absolutely nightmare. Making me sleep worse knowing it won't sync lol
v1.2 works fine on my Nexus 5. I basically got the whole S+ setup just for the smart alarm feature, which works well enough. Takes a little bit longer than I'd like to connect to the device over Bluetooth and the app could use some improvements (custom questions on presleep questionnaire, schedule for smart alarms, etc) but, it works.
-- Improved profile questionnaire usability -- included additional responses to questions
-- Introduced manual 30 day report analyzing your sleep data
-- General bug fixes
