You catch cartoon fish, like a perch that looks like a pickle or a bass with a skull on it. It's nice and smooth, and addicting, but not realistic. Still fun though .
Bait! Is the Pocket Camp of fishing. Mindless fun but gets repetitive. Beautiful graphics, very decent voice acting, good UI, lackluster mechanics. My biggest complaint is having to recenter every few throws, for some reason the screen drifts ever so slowly. There's also no way to save manually. You might accidentally press the home button and wipe your fishing progress. Reeling in practically does nothing. Fish still swim away as if there's no line, moving the pole does nothing, and after a few swims the fish give up and let you reel them in. Bobbers are pointless if you can click within a second of the yellow ! popping up. Best place to grind for money is the sanctuary. Get there as quick as you can.
Really a lot of fun I was expecting real fish types was a little surprised when I pulled a fish that looked like a pickle out of the pond
Fun to look at but no skill mechanics. Moving the pole while reeling I'm does nothing to add or release tension. You don't have to choose different bait for different fish. The shadows in the water don't tell you anything about what the fish is, it doesn't seem to matter where you can either. You just choose where you want to cast, it lands there automatically and once a fish hooks on you just hold and release a button until it gets to you.
Can't wait for more levels. Trying to get record numbers now.
