Best startup app to come out. Blows aways my HSBC account. I would use it evenn if I didn't need the exchange rate feature. The app completely simplifies every aspect of my banking requirements. I took the business account also just because it was so much more convenient than all the stupid requirements that hsbc inforced. There has been a couple of teething issues with payments but they are quickly resolved and text support is good.
I do not think the quoted exchange rate is accurate and assume this is how they make a profit. Which would be fine, if they didn't claim to trade at the same as a bank-to-bank exchange rate. Otherwise, works great, had an issue with VISA blocking it my first week but got that resolved and have used it effortlessly for 2 months or so in Germany.
Love this app. I've used it a couple of times for holidays in Europe and it works like a dream. Easy to top up from my own bank account and you can see exactly where you have spent your money instantly - you get a text message as well: such a good service! ***** Be careful when withdrawing cash from a cash machine: always withdraw in Euros - I messed up once, chose sterling and it cost a lot - an expensive mistake. ***** It's a great app and card. Highly recommended.
Terrible. I based my one star on the fact it often takes several hours to get a live agent, and they don't actually listen to what you say and respond appropriately. Your customer service will not raise disputes with the merchant like my real bank can. Your payment processing system went down last week causing me embarrassment in a supermarket when i could not pay.
I got this app on the recommendation of a friend as I am moving abroad for a year in the near future, and my current banking situation is not great. I am subject to fees, slow transfers and having to always plan my spending and transfers quite a way in advance. This app gives me a perfect solution for the near future to move money from my UK account transfer to euros and get a decent exchange rate! At the time of writing this the post office gave my parents 205euros in exchange for 200sterling... This app just gave me 55euros for 50 sterling... Better!? By a long stretch.
Very useful app, works stunningly smoothly. One gotcha, the card is not accepted at many self serve petrol stations in France. Intermarche, Carrefour and Auchan have all declined on my journey around France this summer. The same supermarkets have all accepted. So food OK, fuel, not so good.
