Divided into 15 stages, with an optional stage that reaches the summit of Mount Cervati (1898 m above sea level), the Via Silente owes its name to the sounds of the places it passes through, where silence takes over forcefully, almost completely neutralizing the annoying noises of human activities.
The route starts from the village of Castelnuovo Cilento, a few kilometers from the Vallo della Lucania – Castelnuovo railway station
