At the beginning and as many others here I thought that the app was terrible. My phone never could load a picture for review or download to my phone. I was very disappointed. Suddenly I saw that the app worked perfectly only when my phone was plugged to power... Then I realized that the problem was the battery optimization syatem of my phone. I have a Xperia Z5. I disabled the "stamina mode" start again the Wi-Fi on my K-1 and instantly all the connection problems were solved. The battery optimization system seems to restrict some wifi connections.
App is terrible. Just bought a GRii and can't believe how unstable this app is. I have Sony cameras for "serious work" and the Play Memories app works perfectly every time and is fast as well. This Ricoh app though... It takes forever to load any pictures and I can't get anything to download to my phone or share. Just worthless. Ricoh, you have to figure this one out because today's photographer wants to share online asap and not wait until they get back to their computer and SD card reader.
This app needs serious improvements in user-operation, performance and stability. Images are not even rotated when the phone is tilted.. Please update Ricoh/Pentax! That's a shame!
Love my new pentax KP dslr but very dissapointed in this app vs other camera manufacturers apps that ive used like panasonics. Surely it cant be that hard to transfer photos to your device instead of just view them. Really inconvenient when not near a computer.
This is simply terrible and unusable. I am very disappointed that I bought a camera which simply doesn't do what it's marketed to do.
Time consuming and useless. Loaded the App on my HTC U11 and got unstable Wi-Fi connection with my K1. Took forever to load thumbnails and offers NO DOWNLOAD option to phone! What's the point of having this app if it can't allow photo transfer? Please fix!
