So slow! My WiFi is great and not just the basic package, but often enough, someone will have come and gone from the door where the device is located before I get an alert. And enough with pushing your advertisements. No, I don't want to get notifications from my neighbors. No, I don't want to upgrade to another device or add anything else. Too aggressive. Nearly predatory! These tactics are nearly enough to make me change to another security option. My two Star review may be one too many.

Hi Michael, we know it's frustrating when things don't work as expected. Delays with notifications are usually related to the signal strength. Good wifi speeds are important, but so is the signal strength. Learn more here https://bit.ly/3MtmQgF. Improving the signal should reduce the delays. For more help, send us a PM on Facebook @Ring. Thank you!

Ring image quality is great. Updates are hit and miss but good overall. The biggest software is the delay from an event occuring to the time a notification is received. It can take 30-40 seconds sometimes, which isn't very helpful for live viewing. Subscription fees are too high to justify. There should be a lower rate for limited video storage since video history is most useful within the past few days and storage is cheap to provide as long as it isn't being abused, which caps would prevent.

I have the app set to send motion alerts, but it randomly stops sending me alerts. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will send me alerts 20 or 30 minutes AFTER the motion is detected when I check the time stamp. Terribly buggy and unreliable. There's no point to send motion alerts if it doesn't work or if I receive them way after the fact. Wifi signal is full strength , and the wifi is extremely fast. Samsung Galaxy S22
