My Ring Pro Doorbell, worked fine up until Feb 4, the motion detection feature quit working out the blue. I was running Android 6.0.1 then, now I'm running Android 7.0, same issue. I've reset the door bell, uninstalled & re-installed the app. Still nothing. Update. It turns out my zones weren't set, so the motion detection feature stopped functioning. Easy fix also the speaker in the unit was dead, they took care of me. GREAT customer service, I didn't have to jump through any hoops to get a replacement unit. 👍
The concept is terrific. However setting it up with two phones, one Android, and an I-phone became a challenge! Nevertheless the phone number provided got us up and running. I like the barking dogs for the motion detection, (they can be heard outside), and to delineate motion from ring, we use the ding-dong on the ring. These also take some patience to set up. A little advise, if you are using an Android, shut off your 'Bluetooth' while programming! Other than those issues it's a great system.
I have our ring integrated with ADT pulse application and it works great. Ring noticed we were getting a weak signal and sent us a booster chime with WiFi repeater. We have it connected via wireless so need to charge the battery every few months but no biggie.
The ring app is great. The products themselves are great. In the past I have had several packages suddenly disappear off of my door step. Now, i get notified as soon as any motion is detected. Home or away, i always know whats going on around my house. I truly love Ring products and look forward to new innovative products.
App is nice when it works. This app takes over all sound on my phone when there is an event (Ring or Motion) and prevents other sound apps from working, like my mp3 players. You guys really need to fix this. I have to force close Ring and restart every time. Galaxy Note 4.
Used to work well when I first got it over a year ago. The app now freezes up whenever someone rings the doorbell or I try to access live view even though my device and the doorbell have a fast internet connection. Waste of $200
The latest update to the Ring app includes bug fixes and the following improvements:
- Multiple Delete and Delete All
You can now easily delete multiple events or all of your events at once by swiping right in the activity screen.
- Event Starring
You can also star your events by swiping right in the activity screen, and they'll never get deleted.
